Hi everyone, Im Nikki, 37, married and Im mum to my very special little boy Lewis, who is 8. Lewis has mild/moderate ASD and Delayed Co-Developmental Disorder (I think thats the terminology), hes very lively and very high functioning and his obsessions include buses, trains and now cars!
I am also disabled. I have a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and I am wheelchair dependant and I spend a lot of time in bed due to this condition. My husband is mine and my son's main carer.
I think I can vouch for most parents that they cant wait for the kids going back to school this week! And for the parents in Scotland whose children have already gone back to school, we can now breathe a huge sigh and be glad of the peace and quiet!
So Ive been a member for a wee while, but only now I have decided to join the NAS community for good! Thank you all for a warm welcome and I hope to hear from you all soon!
