Hi guys

 

I’m new to this site and was hoping if anyone could help me. My son was only diagnosed last year but we’re doing well after a long battle to getting his condition recognised.  Now we’re just managing the full out of late diagnosis, including poor education, sensory issues, and ridged behaviours.

So now I am desperately looking for a Mobile hairdresser !!!  My son’s hair is to the small of his back and after 3 years wants it cutting. Sensory issues are mega when it comes to his head and hair. Hoping to find an autistic friendly, understanding even experienced person. I’m based in Nottingham does anyone know of where I could find this information out. I have tried goggling it but comes up with nothing.

    Funny, I tried googling "Mobile Hairdresser Nottingham" and it came up with a bit more than "nothing".

    Most of them had phone numbers too.

    Perhaps you could try phoning some?

    I have been cutting his hair since he was very young but he hasn’t let me for a while now and refused any anything to do with his hair for years but now he is ready to brush it and has been to his credit but now want it cut. it so difficult to please him and set me the most challenging of challenges. i am wondering if such a thing exists? a mobile hairdresser who specialises  in autism and works in Nottingham....Help

     

  • Similar for me so I taught myself to do it! Its surprising what you can do when you have to and its much less stressful than th hairdressers!

    If he fancies really short you could get some clippers which are easier than scissors
