Introducing myself

Hi,

I had a message from Admin saying to introduce myself here. I already posted lots on others threads... oh well LOL

So I'm Summer. I have Autism and am also dyslexic which sucks but I do still well enjoy writing and reading it just takes me a while sometimes. I also love to bake. Baking is a special interest of mine. 

Don't think there's much more to say... If I think of anything else I'll add to this :)

    Well, I'm an expert on German WWII tanks, especially the development, so my wife bought me some Airfix tank models to make. And yeah, it's a relief, suddenly feeling at home in my skin, now I know I'm Aspie shaped.

    Sounds idyllic living in an old farm house with a Rayburn, hope it keeps you warm in winter.
    I normally have two ovens (a regular and a smaller combi oven) but the normal one broke more than a year ago so doubly upset. Hopefully, I will find a way to resolve the problem soon. I can't wait to get back to baking. I had to actually buy bread yesterday. I normally always bake my own granary rolls. I'm not great with changes in routine so it has unbalanced me a bit. x

    Aw thanks, I love summer it's such a nice time of year everything is so flowery and pretty. I'm sorry to hear about your oven. I hope you can get it fixed! I live in an old farmhouse and my oven is an old Rayburn it makes lovely cakes and bread.

    Hi Eggbeard,

    I'm glad you got your diagnosis. I know it can be a lot to take in and be a massive overload but don't worry it does get easier. I found it a huge relief after all the waiting.

    I'm glad you enjoy baking. It's lovely isn't it. I've never done model making, what kind do you like to make?

    Hi Summer,
    Nice to meet you. I've only just joined today.
    What a lovely name; conjures up such beautiful images in my mind of lots of lovely flowers and nice sunny weather. 
    I too love baking and find it very relaxing but at the moment I'm quite devastated because my oven broke last week and I currently can't afford to replace it. Cry
    Hopefully, a solution will present itself.

    Hi Summer,

    I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. Makes perfect sense, but a lot to take in. I bake too. Spent the weekend handing out banana bread to the neighbours. Just got back into model making after about forty years. Very relaxing.

    I also am new to this community. I was diagnosed recently and am still going through bits and bobs to get myself back on track.

    Thank you. Yes you definitely should give it a go. Baking is so much fun and I find it therapeutic at the same time.

    Hi Summer. Great to have you here. Was just thinking today that i should have a go at baking sometime, i can see why it would give you so much pleasure - the craft and therapy of it. Anyway, hope you find this community as warm and welcoming as i have. All the best.
