Hi, I have just joined today.  Have son of 17/18 who is struggling right now.  He was only diagnosed 18 months ago with High-Functioning Autism, just before his GCSE's.  I feel so alone and find that as a Mum, other Mums with so called 'normal-functioning' children have never seemed to and don't seem to understand.  I am hoping we can find some support here.

  • Hello Mary and Crystal, Thanks for your kind words.  My son feels he wants to be a girl too Mary. Has done for some time.  He feels so guilty and upset about it.  Although won't engage in any help or support we can find :-(

     

    I will have a look on the home page for a group and see if I can find anything.  Think i would find this helpful.  My son is calmer today, although quite uncommunicative at the moment.
