Hi, my son is a very social 14 year old boy who is struggling, yet desperate, to make friends and expand his social circle. Lately he's been seeing his siblings go out and speak regularly with friends and he's feeling very isolated and is trying to make friends in the Surrey (Guildford) area or online. The closest he's managed is an online friend in Ireland! He enjoys going out to playgrounds and even takes the occasional football shot! He loves computers and video animations, especially making his own YouTube videos!
Hi
Just read your email while on holiday with the family. We are in a similar situation with our 15 year old son and also live in Surrey. I have only just signed up to the community and have no idea how things operate, but it would be good to try and sort something out when we get back.
Reminder of Rule 4 - "Be nice to one another and enjoy chatting with others. We encourage conversation and respectful debate; please be aware that individuals may give opinions which are not shared by other members. Insulting posts or comments making personal jibes will not be tolerated. "

Hi. I must admit that i live no where near Surrey but if it helps i am more than Happy to sell my House and move closer to you in order that i can be of more assistance in this post.
Hello NAS79796,
It's really good that your son wants to make new friends. There is a social group in Surrey for autistic adults. The groups are a relaxing space for people to meet and socialise with one another and participate in a variety of activities. All the best,
