Hi everyone, I hope you're all ok. I have just started the process of getting assessed for autism and wondered if anyone could give me an idea of how long it can take? My GPS has referred me to the mental health team but he couldn't give me any idea of how long I would have to wait to hear from them.
My son is going through the process too (through school) and his teacher has said it can take 2-3 years. Does that sound about right?

Not that I have started that process, but that is what I have seen, I don't know if it affects all parts of the UK but that does seem to be the average waiting time.
