Hello everyone....my name is June..I am a mum to Michael who is just 13 years old and got his diagnoses for Asperger Syndrome at 12  years old...and right now I am going through hell and back (or feels like it anyway)....I also have 2 other children, both old, My daughter who is 19 and in university, and an older son who has his own conditions...I live in Blackpool and would love to have contact with other parents who have a child with Aspergers...

    I'm not a parent of someone with Asperger Syndrome either though, I'm slightly older than your son (17) and have High Functioning ASD, been diagnosed in January 2012. 

    I have noticed though that generally I can help people that work with or care for someone with an ASD to understand how this person is  or might be feeling just by explainging how I would feel.
    Not everyone thinks it helps but that's fine, I don't have the time for such people.
