hi, my name is becky i am 20 years old i live in the north east, i have asperger's syndrome i was first diagnosed at the age of 11 and then re diagnosed at the age of 17.
every single thing in life i have ended up having to fight for, i was bullied at school starting at the age of 7, changed schools 3 times because of this, at 16 i got my first job thanks to a family friend, we then fell out she took it upon herself to tell my employer about my aspergers sydrome because they were so miss informed they decided that because of it i could not do my job and they would not let me, we then took them to court and rather than cooperating they decided to settle out of court.
after all these experiences it has taken a toll on my life as if living with asperger's is not hard enough, i now have severe anxiety and depresion i am also unempyloed so have very little in my life at all.
i suppose i guess i have finally found the guts to come here and find some people who understand where i am coming from and that understand that even though i have asperger's that it doesnt make me any less human than anyone else on the planet, i would love to meet some other's either sufferes or other people who support people with asperger's syndrome.
