I'm a 40 year old British guy, originally from Brighton, who has been living in Singapore for the past 12 years. My son, now 6, was diagnosed with mild - moderate Autism when he was 2. We have tried a number of early intervention approaches and methodoligies including RDI, TEACCH and now for the last 18 months ABA.
We are now planning to move back to the UK, so the kids can put some roots down, but also so we can hopefully find better and more affordable help at home.
I'm probably going to work in London, but would want to try and live in the country and commute in. Looking for any recommendations on therapy centres or schools in the South of England and would appreciate any pointers.
I have only just begun to research whats required, and it looks like i would need to apply for this "Statement" as I understand it is an admission requirement for many schools and centres, would also appreciate some pointers on that.
