Hi to you all... 

I have just found this forum, so I'm new here. 

Im 45 and awaiting an autism assessment.

I live near Galway in Ireland and would very much like to meet other people on the spectrum nearby.

Finding the whole process of this journey and the awareness it brings very difficult.

Kinda been trying to reach out to meet other people with similar experiences for advice and support.

    Hey there, welcome. I don't live nearby. But I have been bugging my whole family that I want to move there, so maybe one day we might be neighbors!
    I am having lots of issues going through various stages of this new diagnosis too. The most humiliating was my meltdown in the doctor's office who gave me the Aspi diagnosis and said that he didn't think I had personality disorder which I had lived with for 5 years now.
