Evening all,

just a quick one to say Hi. I'm a dad to two beautiful girls (18 months and 3 1/2) Our eldest was diagnosed with Autism in October last year. The last few months have been focused on the nightmare of getting a statement of education in place for when she starts school in september.

I've also just been confrimed for the Ride London ride raising money for NAS of course. Living in Surrey will help train on the bigger hills in this 100mile course, but its still a lonnnnng ride!

  • We've done all the forms and agreed the statement but waiting for it to go to panel in april. In true inefficient style the statement is for her current nursery placement where she's had funding for 1-2-1 for a year now. Only once we have a shool place confirmed ( before the nursery statement goes to panel ) will her statement be updated to reflect her needs in school.

    We had a letter yesterday confirming she'll be okay in mainstream with the right support.
