  • Hi - sounds like you've had a tough time getting a diagnosis - it must have been difficult + taken a lot of perseverance.  You can't learn everything at once so don't try!  Take it in bite sized chunks.  Lots of info on this site via the home page + the posts.  There may be a local group in your area.  If she has a social worker then they shd be able to let you know what's available locally.  It's how your daughter's autism affects her as an individual that's the most important thing.....she's the same person she always was.  Now you can help her even more.  How does she feel about the diagnosis?
