Son keeps getting exclusion days

My son has been diagnosed for 2 years and his school are forever letting him down. Were waiting for his ed psych to come in february to get his ehcp done but this year is just so disruptive for him. He hates being in class he hates the noise the ammount of people etc. The new teacher seems to have taken his aids away and now they have supply teachers everyday ! Now their sending home because hes having meltdowns and days of utter defiance and frustration and this results in day exclusions. Does anyone have any ideas because im trying my best to come up with solutions but im struggling.

  • That sounds awful. What are your thoughts about the school? Have they made any Reasonable Adjustments for him?

Apart from noise and it being crowded, does he have any other sensory sensitivities that are affecting him that the school should be looking at?

The NAS contact for advice sounds like a good route to go down.
