im a step dad to three children two of which are autistic, different ends of f the scale One load and aggressive, one quite but can be volatile. Just here for advice.
Hello! Fifty years ago I was an autistic child. I was loud and aggressive and volatile, so I was often punished. I don't think the punishments did me much harm (my parents and teachers being nice people whose punishments weren't violent), but encouragement and understanding would have done me a lot of good.
Encourage and understand! And discuss your problems here.
