Hello,

im a frazzled mum who's 10 year old son won't go to school on a Monday because he has had a hissy fit over a simple piece of homework during the weekend!

trying to persuade my husband to try my son on Prozac as recommended by Professor Peter Hill but he says there are too many side effects so he keeps putting off starting the meds!

any ideas welcome my son attends More House School in Farnham when he feeas like going!

  • Hi - cd you tell us a bit more about the problem with the homework + how your son reacted?  If his reaction wasn't a big deal then I think he should go to school.  How's he doing there - does he get enough of the right support etc?  

    It would be worth checking out this site + also the Research Autism site which gives info on many "interventions" for people with autism, including medical ones.  Personally I wd be wary, especially with a young child, as these drugs are powerful.
