I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism when I was 15 (I'm now 20) after lots of problems with school and general life.
When I first first diagnosed, I found it hard to accept (I didn't want to believe that I was "different" from everyone else, especially at that age), but I am a lot more comfortable with it now. I actually love being Autistic, which sounds strange, but I love that I see things differently to the people around me, and I have my little quirks that make me who I am.
Although I struggled with lots of things when I was younger, I have definitely come a long way, and am enjoying life now.
I joined this really to find out about other people with Autism, I find it really interesting how lots of people can be diagnosed with the same "condition", but be affected in different ways.
