Hello from the Scottish Borders! - Community Project worker here

Hello Everyone,

I am here as a development Worker for a community project that is looking at rural transport.

If you do not know the Scottish Borders it is a very beautiful, and very isolated place to live, if you have any additional needs, then getting about can be quite difficult without someone to support you.

Which is where I come in...

I am looking to start a kind of mentoring/training/support scheme for people with autism or learning difficulties to use transport that is not their parents/carers.
This could be:

- Buses
- Community Transport
- Bikes
- Taxis
- Trains
- Anything really.....

I would be interested in finding out more about what similar types of projects are out there, or what you would like to see as part of something like this.

If you happen to live in the Scottish Borders and would like to get in touch please do get in touch and we can have a chat about it all :).
I do not want this to be another idea that becomes a tick box exercise from Government but rather something that is made for; decided by; and will help, people with Autism and/or Learning difficulties.

Have a good day, and stay safe Slight smile
