Hi Everyone
My name is Sarah and I am 34. I haven’t got the official diagnosis yet, but it was my doctor that pointed it out to me. I had no idea what Autism was beforehand. Since then other doctors have agreed, but I’m on the ridiculously long waiting list. Now having discovered Asperger’s Syndrome, I’m surprised that my teachers never picked up on it. I am also new to the UK, I got here almost two years ago from South Africa. I have dual citizenship and have lived here before. My favourite things are perfume, skin care, animals, the environment, comedy and many other things. I am an introvert, but would like to make friends and communicate with like-minded people.
Hey and welcome to the forum! I'm not on here as much atm but I have found it to be a good resource and a friendly, understanding community since my diagnosis last year at thirty five. Hopefully if you do get diagnosed this place will be as helpful for you as it was for me in understanding our diagnosis :)
