I personally find trees peaceful and quiet. Coats are good for hugging trees because they can be dirty sometimes and all of the twigs and stuff don't go on your clothes that you require to be presentable.
I am rarely presentable anyway, but I tend to abstain from tree hugging as the sap is near impossible to get rid of.
