had a chat with my wife and have been convinced not to resign before lining up the new job! I’ll post here again with the outcome. Exciting to apply for new positions!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Aidie, but the Alternative is to wait for formal investigation and disciplinary... I know it’s coming, better to fall on my sword in the situation I’m in.
it will be hard for a while but I need to push reset on the career - all of it comes from the Aspergers, so I don’t want it anymore. Need to try something new 
oh i see, i did that :) I could see a disciplinary coming and thought no not doing that but I went and got another job so i resigned before the disciplinary was started and I told them exactly what I thought of them before I left in the termination interview !
start looking for a new job immediately
i increased my salary and have more time off so a win win for me
