hi all, decided to join a discussion forum to help me and my girlfriend as we believe our 3 year old boy is somewhere on the autistic spectrum , I have a few questions that I will put in one of the other boards .

  • hi Bob123, welcome.  You seem pretty clued up about autism, so I think you're right to ask your GP to refer to a paediatrician.  Early diagnosis is important if your child is on the autistic spectrum, so that he can get the support he needs.  So is a statement of educational needs so that he can get the appropriate educational provision.  bw
