Hey.

Hi everyone.

My son was diagnosed last Wednesday, he fufills the Autistic Spectrum Disorder. He is 2 years and 7 months. We have been going through a process of home visits, nurseryn assesments and recently nursery assessments at a Child Development Centre. I am here to see how people in similar positions deal with day to day living, and in need of a friend in the same position. I have a fantastic partner and we are happy but this has hit me harder then I am letting on and just a good chat would be good.

Thanks

xx

  • My son George is still George, I don't love him any less, in fact I love him more. I am so grateful for a diagnosis so early on. Our specialist who has been dealing with him is writing to the education board in preparation for school. He currently attends a privat e nursery which they are applying for some funding to help with some one to one for him.

What is my son like? He is amazing. He is such a strong character, he has good days and bad days. We take each day as it comes. He is doing well with his counting at the moment and his shapes. He loves cooking, painting, drawing, and he loves Peppa Pig and dinosaurs.
