Hello, I'm a 20-year-old student that lives in the US. It's nice to virtually meet all of you. I'm currently been dating my boyfriend who is on the spectrum for almost a year. The relationship has been very difficult for me since I have never really delt with an individual with autism before. I've been trying to educate my self and find coping strategies for our relationship but it's been difficult nonetheless. Currently, I decided to take some time away from the relationship in order to cope with a lot of stress and anxiety that has mounted up over the past several months and found this community. I hope that I can learn a lot from this community and take what I've learned back into my relationship. Hopefully, you are all doing well and that you keep healthy and safe from the current pandemic going on.

I'm sure that, on here, you will come into contact with many others like your boyfriend. Hopefully, you will gain a better understanding of the condition, as well as why your boyfriend is the way he is.
