Successful Communication Manager who struggles to communicate with his wife and teenage children!
Assessed with Asperger's aged 50 (now 51)
Hi Richard,
Being assessed explains a lot for me. It was never a real problem at home until my children got into their teens. Life at home since has been a struggle.
A very demanding job is a cinch in comparison!!
Same here. Had guessed beforehand, though getting the diagnosis was great
Hi there. Thanks for your reply :-)
Great to know I'm not alone!
Welcome. I was also late diagnosed at 49
Hi - welcome aboard - It happens a lot!
I was a chartered engineer diagnosed at 42 - the reason for my diagnosis was having difficulty communicating with my young daughter - I couldn't keep up with the speed of her personality changing as she grew and a friend's wife (a teacher) pointed out I had a lot of the traits.
That was a decade ago - time flies.
Thanks Anthony :-)
Hello and welcome :)
