Hello, I'm new to this forum!

Hello

my name (or a name I just made up earlier) is Plectrum.

I've been diagnosed with ASD as an adult.

Hoping to make some friends here and try being myself a bit more.  What is it like ? is it a friendly place?

 - any tips from existing users?

  • Hello Leetom,  good you are joining in already. A lot of people are around to give tips about the assessment process and whatever else life throws at us.

  • Hey there plectrum. I’m also new to all this. I’m currently waiting for an ASD assessment. Not sure what the process would involve so it’s a bit anxiety inducing. It’s really relieving to see people on here who get me you know. It seems like a friendly place.

  • Thank you! Nice to meet you

  • And you :)

  • Hi Lora, thanks, nice meeting you

no real tips, other than read a few threads to get a feel of the place - "jokey" stuff tends to be on the "misc and chat" forum; more serious things on "autistic adults", and (obviously issues related to children on the "parents and carers" one
