I have a compulsory drive to be creative I continually come up with new ways to make thing from jewellery to music, I love drawing and doodle anytime I have a pen in my hand (not good when I'm at work Smirk) I'm interested in what hobbies you all have and what you do to relax.

  • Computers and gadgets are my main interest but I have been trying to make music lately like your self on a macbook my mum gave me, but I have to say I keep forgetting all the time how to use the tools and have to keep using it daily to retain a little of the things I learn but I forget tonnes of what I am doing, I have gotten quite good when repeating the process daily but if I stop for even a day I forget what I am doing in places, I did obsess with gaming and computers as a kid into my early mid 20's I started on a commodore Amiga 500 when I must have been only 4-7 yrs old, but yeah technology and the sense of achivement making my own songs most of which are poor but occassionaly I do something right and the odd one turns out great but prodominantly mediocore, to be fair gaming all this dlc and online only gaming era I dislike I prefer good old cartridge consoles and the long lost Amiga 500 lol

I love movies it spans from my childhood whenever I would go to my dad's house he collected movies, he had a spare room upstairs he would say come with me, he would take me updstairs in this spare room with 2 deep wall length book shelves filled with vhs tapes and say pick a few to watch, me my dad and my nan would sit and watch them together sometimes 3 or 4 consecutive movies back to back, I must have seen litterally a ridiculous number of movies guestimation from 500 to maybe as many as 2 or 3 thousand movies, probably in the 400 to 1200 range but it was great, dad would also take me the cinema often on visiting to, and before dvd's phased out vhs and vhs phased out betamax before it, he would stay up to date on movies coming to vhs and would take me to the video shop to rent vhs tapes, it's a shame the vhs stores closed it was a family bonding experience a really magical time I recollect, dad still collected dvd's after that and I would pick a few daily watch them together in the last say 5-9yrs he went over to blu ray's but recently he switched to netflix, I miss those old vhs days the video shop I remember we rented the Abyss and when he got Alien 3 I was only 10 when it came out he let me watch it we watched it together, I watched many 18 and 15 age movies before my teens, it was rare he would say I think it's inappropriate, we still watch movies when I go there, it runs in dad's side of the family they all loved movies. I recently try to find 80's era movies in the likes of second hand shops and some blu rays, stuff like flight of the navigator, alien quadrilogy, the last starfighter, under siege, robocop, anything I grew up watching as a kid to young adult. dvd's do seem to be phasing out of stores now there are very few in most shops even cash converters and cex seem to be getting rid of the last remains, I recently bought john carpenters ghosts of mars and the 1982 the thing incex, if I had the money I would open a video shop combining vhs betamax rentals and swaps partx and buy ins, along with dvd rentals and partx buy and sells, a sort of 80's through 90's nostalgia rental and second hand shop, if only I were a millionaire if I were I would keep it going even if it was loosing money to retain the nostalgia and history of the eras.
