*ADVICE NEEDED* I’ve just registered. My 6 year old God son was diagnosed with autism just over a year ago. The primary school were great at first and funding was sorted for a dedicated 1:1 teaching assistant. However the headmistress doesn’t believe that autism, ADHD etc, doesn’t exist! The teaching assistant has gone, with no real explanation and my godson is now being physically dragged, kicking and screaming, into school. Has anyone else on here experienced this? He now doesn’t want to go to school, understandably and his mum is at her wits end. Any advice. Thanks in advance xx
Hi - welcome to the group. I don't have any children, so I'm not sure what's the best action to take re. the school situation, but I agree with Aidie's suggestion about using the NAS Helplines for advice.
If you dont get more replies look at the advice here on the NAS main site
they also have a helpline telephone service - not sure how good it is.

thats incredible ! Please wait for more replies. please Change the title "Hi" to something like "Advice needed " to get more attention from more people in here.
