Hello Everyone

My name is Lloyd and I am new to this forum, we have adopted two children with Autism. way son who is now eight was diagnosed when he was five and now is educated at a special needs school. We fostered both for four years before adopting them both as they were unadopable due to their autism.My daughter has had two assessments but the professionals could not diagnose autism but call it globally delayed due environmental issues when with her birth mother. She attends a main stream school and has additional help as they say she has autistic traits but not enough to be diagnosed autistic and get the professional help she deserves. You can send her in the kitchen for two items and she has forgot the second item. There are times when she is very frustrating as when you are asking her a question she stares at you with a blank look and will not answer you,she asks silly questions that she knows the answer to, it can be dark outside but will ask is it daytime.
