Welcome to the forum! I was diagnosed last December, also at the age of 37! I hope that you find the forum a helpful source of information and support.
I'm in my forties and have a child whos 11. She's just about to be diagnosed with aspergers and guess what.. I haven't worked it all out yet... And I'm not autistic.
so firstly give yourself a pat on the back for being you and how individual and lovely you are and how this is going to be a new chapter of your life.
remember that being autistic gives you a different way of looking at things and a lot of those things are very beneficial so don't just focus on anything negative.
