Hello everyone, I just thought I would introduce myself. I'm Handywoman, I have two girls, my youngest dd is 7 and is under the community paed for the second time (the first followed a severe language delay which is now resolved, except for remaining social communication problems which are severe). We expect our autism assessment to take place next summer, but the latest language therapy assessment strongly suggests the possibility of high functioning or Aspergers Syndrome.
My dd is a delight and a true original. The latest therapy report has made me start thinking in a new way about how I might begin to help improve my dd's social skills. We are also waiting for and Ed Psych report which has been requested by the SENCo. I hope to tap into the wisdom on here while I begin the journey, and look forward to contributing too!
