Hi, I am a mum of 2, my daughter is 5 and after 19 months we fianlly got a diagnosis of ASD in September, she has many sensory problems aswell, hyper hearing, hypo movement ( runs, jumps, spins, never sits still), oral hypo sensitivity, PICA she will eat and chew everything her favourite being toilet roll and stones ( she ate my gall stones a couple of months ago) Hypo sensitive to touch(she could cut her arm off and not notice but the smallest bump will have her screaming for hours. Her behaviour is quite aggressive but slowly getting better with the right rewards and strategies. She has just started school in P1 in the Scottish Highlands.
She is Dinosaur mad, wants to be a palentologist when she leaves school. Not into girly things at all.
Her 2 year old brother is a typical monster for his age into all things Sam and Thomas.
I have a background in Autism working as a 1:1 classroom assistant with children with challenging behaviour in a SLD school before I had my DD.
