i am new to forum and wanted to introduce myself i have a son who is 8 we are currently going through the diagnosis process.

this is quite a daunting process i dont know if my son will be diagnosed with anything or not but have strongly believed for some time that is on the spectrum somewhere.

this is so strange i am really nervous writing on here and im not sure why !

my son j is the most lovely child but has obsessions and qaulities that link him to autism and aspergers. my friends and family are supportive but dont really understand and i think im just needing to chat to people who do xxx

  • hi beany, i understand it must be a stressful time waiting but at least you are getting somwehere thats a good step and when its over you will know and will be able to deal with the situation a lot better, not knowing is usually worse for some reason

    i cant understand as i dont have any children, but i get some of the issues with autism my partner has it, i didnt know him as a child but i know a lot of his stories so if i can i will try to help you with info if you need it

    please DONT WORRY, this is the best thing in this situation, learning whether he does or doesnt have it, it means you can move on with that information and make your lives better
