New to ASD and looking for support and advice

Hi everyone

My 18yo son was diagnosed recently, although of course we have known for many years that it was a likely diagnosis.  We, him and I, are going to try to use this site for support and information - and if possible help others by recounting our own experiences. He may show up in the forum himself, I don't know, that will be up to him.

Anyway, thought it would be polite to register and introduce myself :-)

  • hi my 7 year old son is waiting to be seen by a professional and i am struggling with him doctor has sent a letter to child services to be assessed but i have bin told its a long road and i willing to stay my path with him he is my son but i am finding it hard dealing with all his problems lately he has become obsessed with my 18 year old step daughter friend so i have had to stop her coming round he is becoming worse with not doing what he is told and i am struggling can anyone give me a little advice please thanks sam x
