Hi all

I'm Emma and a newbie to the group. my son received his diagnosis for ASD today, he already has ADHD & ODD and its all just very overwhelming, I don't know how this diagnosis will affect his life, we are waiting to hear about an EHCP but will this now mean he will have to go to a special school, we don't mind if this was to happen as we just want him to have the best chances in life.

Hi thank you for your reply. Will do my research on things to help, to be honest I’d be happy with any school just as long as he gets the support he requires

Hi, Welcome to the forum, please give yourself time to allow the diagnosis to sink in, look whats available in your area a diagnosis of asd does not mean he will necessarily mean he has to attend a Sen school
