My daughter is 6 and been assesed for Aspergers, we are at the limbo stage her psycologist says pretty sure we will get a diagnosis in future as she is scoring highly,showing trates etc some are just a bit subtle due to age and her been a girl, Also school was not the best support,That was last dec when she then put her forward for play therapy as my daughter has no imagination and finds it difficult to play with other children.
Over last few months her quirks are more obvious, we test drove a car and she was licking the inside of it? Her roport from school was she finds it hard to make and maintian friendships due to things having to be her way, she cant cope on public transport as well and standing at a bus stop near impossible. So currently pushing for re assessment now instead of waiting the initial year that was advised.
She is also 2 friendly so very vunerable and under sensitive so so likes to stroke touch lick everything including people.Which when someone who has just met her a problem.
Would be nice to get to know people who have the same issues or just to be in company of people who understand as i know my friends find her intense and rather spend time with me without her.
