Hi
Im Jo, Im a female of 30 and I would like to meet aspie friends like myself in the area. I grew up in a different area to where Im living now and although I have sisters near by-who both have kids, families ect- Im a little short on friends in farnborough/nearby. Being an aspie I probably do say the wrong thing/come across weird but since getting older I like to think Im improving.. Hi Jo,
The NAS does run an e-befriending scheme but it is currently oversubscribed, you could keep an eye on the web page and see if something becomes available.. https://www.autism.org.uk/services/community/befriending-mentoring/find.aspx
Or you could have a look at the Surrey branch of NAS, their website mentions some sessions for adults in Farnborough, you might find something that offers you an opportunity to meet new people: http://www.nassurreybranch.org/services-for-adults.html
Kind regards,
