my son has just been diagnosed with ASD and Im feeling quite alone. Just thought Id introduce myself and hopefully meet people in the same situation.

My name is Elaine and i have two children aged 5 and 3.

    Welcome to the community.

    It is a lonely feeling when you first get the diagnosis for your child.  I know how you feel.  Which of your children has received the diagnosis?

    My 5 year old son was diagnosed last summer and it has been a roller coaster of a year for us.  However, the support on this site is amazing.  Just to have somewhere to "talk" with others who are going through/have been through the same challenges can really make you feel better and that you can do whatever you have to do to get the best education/support for your child.
