university for my Add son?? help

Hello

I am new on here.

I have a 17 year old son who wants to do a zoology degree at university next year. He's predicated A/B's in his science A levels but still needs lots of organising, prompting, guiding with every day things, trouble with orientation. Also real trouble with timings and has strong opinions.

I don't want to hold him back but feel he is vulnerable.

Hopefully a local university will offer a place but he may need to live away from home mon-fri if is only gets offers from unis further away.

Any advice appreciated.

I am also on the spectrum so do over think matters/worry about him.

thanks

    What's your specific worry?

It seems like student support services are generally a lot better than they were in our day, and good quality autism support may be a factor when choosing the university.
