To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

just coming on here to say hello!

Im a parent to a 9 year old with ASD - the mild end I'm told

but try telling our son that when he's been upset by a dog's barking!

I hope to use this forum to get opinions on ways to help our son

I hope you find them helpful.
Also, I suspect you kind of know this, from your post, but, there is no such thing as 'mild' autism, there is only varying degrees of 'functioning'.

Hello,
This is my first post as I am new here as well. I have a 8 year old daughter with severe autism, but she is actually friendly if she likes theperson. She is non-verbal but I understand her.
