New and nervous! :/

Hi, I am a newbie although I have followed many threads on here in secret!

My son was referred to the community Pediatritian by his nursery when he was 3. He is now 6. He has had various appointments and assessments now with the Pediatritian, speach therapist, blood tests and we have finally received our 3di appointments through split over two seperate days and I am extremely nervous now! I have battle through the rest of it like a Trojan but for some reason this has made me feel both relieved and physially sick!

A bit about my son, he does communicate but only on his terms and about his topics, he  reacts badly when anyone else talks to either him or each other when he is around. He had delayed speech, 1 sole intense interest, an obsession with signs (roadsigns, hazzard signs etc) and each one we see has to be stopped and looked at and explained, he has never made friends and lacks social skills. He is still a constant dribbler and refuses most foods, usually resulting in a meltdown. He has sleep issues, rarely asleep by 23:00 although he actually goes to his room at 8 and this is never alone, we have to be there with him laying next to him. He wakes frequently and will usually spend the rest of the night in bed with me and his Dad, he is also a bedwetter. I have to carry him downstairs some mornings as he cries his leg hurts and he cannot walk huge distances so we have now bought a double buggy as he is getting too big to carry! I have to dress him, brush his teeth, comb his hair, wipe his bottom, tie his shoes and feed him.

He also pinches either his arm or stomach for no reason and complains when I select "comfy" clothes for him to wear.

I am relieved we have his appointment but I cant help fear being told they cannot diagnose him and cant help :(

I also have a 1 year old daughter who is already starting to show worrying symptoms such as rocking and throwing herself backwards continually, even after she has banged her head on something, she does not sleep either and wakes at least every 2 hours during the night.

I wondered if anyone could give me any advice or reassurance about his 3di/diagnosis going by his traits? Its been such a long battle and his school have already put things in place recommended by both the Pediatritian and speech therapist such as picture schedules/timetables, one-2-one communication and instruction giving, assistance with dressing etc.

Any advice or words of experience/wisdom would be greatfully received!
