AMHS have asked whether we would like a much quicker diagnosis by Healios rather than staying on their waiting list.
This diagnosis involves 5 online sessions with a clinician who will then make a diagnosis based on a baseline questionairre, and sessions on social interaction, communication and behaviour patterns.
I am unconvinced that a Skype style online session will bring up all the issues and wondered if anyone else had experienced this system and found it worked for them.
My daughter is 12 years old and has had a positive private diagnosis but we need a confirmation from CAMHS in order to get any help. She is also home educated so can't get any evidence from school to help.
As far as I can tell once the diagnosis is done through them, then CAMHS would not see her again if I was unhappy with the result.
