Speech and language assessment

Hello,

There are some things in the report that i dont know al lot about and was hoping someone will be able to explain things to me.

Auditory comprehension is on the 50 percentile (average)

Expressive communication is on the 25 percentile (low side of average)

Are these scores above typical of a child with high functioning autism maybe?

I know its a little vague.

Thank you

    Hey!

These questions.. you'd best ask your SALT ;-)

He/She knows you and your kid; and can adequately answer your questions. Besides that.. Each individual is different.. also people on the spectrum.

The first score can be quite correct, eventhough he hears everything and also tends to seem deaf.. Sensory issues aren't odd at all!

Expr comm.. if you say HFA, than there is quite a discrepancy.. and thát in actually one of the autistic things, indeed.. Eventhough being smart, not knowing what to say or when to say what..

    Again.. ask you SALT ;-)

    love, B'fly
