Scoring System

Hi all,

I am new to all of this but my son is undergoing assessment for possible high functioning autism. I received a letter today with the following scores;

school - Cambridge 83/141, CAST 17, DSM 5 21/66

home - Cambridge 104/150, CAST 22, DSM 5 37/72

Can anyone help me decipher these please? I have tried to google but am having no joy. TIA

    CAST: en.wikipedia.org/.../Childhood-autism_spectrum_test

    Which suggests that your son's scores indicate a likelihood of autism. That article says that the normal range for non-autistic children is 0-13 and autistic children score 15-31

    I haven't looked for the other tests. The cambridge autism research centre have a lot of tests and the DSM presumably refers to the american diagnostic statistical manual IIRC.

    Are there autistic tendencies elsewhere in the family (parents, siblings etc)? Autism is highly inherited so it may be useful to look further than the child in question.
