nervous mum

hi, my sons just been diagnosied 3 days ago with ASD, hez just 2, will b 3 in june, i new from 3 months that there was something wrong, told health visitor and doctor that he wasnt making eye contact or  making his milestones, but i was just fobbed off saying hes still young, then at 1 yr old doctors finially started listening, he was diagnosied with albinisim, (albino), but the problems just kept coming, he would bang his head or chest of sofa, theres no communication what sover, his life envolves around the trampoline and tv he has no other intrests, he hates his little sister, i dnt know much about autism, n what lies ahead, and were do i go from here, any advice would b helpfull??

  • hi when you speak to your child just use single words and slowley, my son will be 4 soon, lost all words, now after 6mths, of useing single words he says mum, no, yes, you have to go back to basics again, ie with toys aswell, pictures boards, painting, colouring, if you sit down and start huming a song, and start doing a picture puzzle, even if hes just watching you thats a good start and praise him for looking, saying your sons name and say good looking, like bath time, just say his name so he no s your talking to him, and say bath, its very hard at first but you will pick it up you will find he will start to try and talk to you,
