Hello, my college (mature student) have suggested I get assessed for learning difficulties and autism which would be fine if it were easily accessible via NHS or not so expensive (private). I'm stuck in what I refer to as a recursive thought process of death as it makes life stand still. How do you figure out the reward/risk ratio as to whether or not testing would diagnose anything? exactly when do 'traits' become autism/Aspergers? If I'm just NT with a few traits the reward for spending a lot of money is nil but the reward if I am is great. How do I know what's 'normal' because with out knowing this how to I even begin the figure out what to do? FYI I took the asq test months ago and score in the low possible autism range which is no help. Thanks
