Hi

my psychiatrist has been given advice from the aspergers team here in the UK to prescribe me melatonin as all my life ive had issues sleeping... getting to sleep... staying a sleep.

I do currently use alcohol for that will melatonin help me?

Melatonin is prescribed for sleep problems in autism see community.autism.org.uk/.../melatonin for a number of discussions.
A lot of people with autism are sensitive to light and I struggle to sleep when there is a full moon and I get woken by summer sunrises so I put up the blackout curtains that make quite a difference.
