Hi, My two and a half year old is having a emotion assessment with his health visitor in a few days. I only went to the health visitor last week as I was worried about Oscar as now hes starting to have moments when he doesn't want to be around anyone. He will be happily playing then suddenly will stop, all emotions run off his face and he will just say he wants to be alone. He will go off into his room and just stand in front of his dinosaur poster and talk about the dinosaurs. When this first happened i had no idea what to do so i asked him what was wrong and he said he didn't know.
Both of my parents have Austism hence why I was so worried when seeing this. Oscar is very intellegant for his age, hes above all the children in his nursery group and you can have full on conversations with him. Sometimes the things that come out of his mouth aren't what you expect a two year old to be talking about. Im just going out of my mind what will be coming up for Oscar as hes already had a tough couple of years as he got diagnosed with diabetes as well.
Can anyone just reassure me or give me any advice of what to do or what could happen?
