Received ASD Formal Diagnosis

Well its been so long that I have waited to finally get to this point but finally this morning I attended my diagnosis review and I was told that I am formally diagnosed with ASD.  I don't think my family and friends realize but this diagnosis has literely taken so much off my shoulders I have no doubt that going forward I will look at the world more positively now I know why my life has been this way to this point.  I now look forward to all the challenges that are ahead and honestly right now I feel a renewed strength to face them.

I also wanted to come on here and thank everyone who has given me advice since I joined here.  You have all been so patient and kind and I want you to know that I truly appreciate that.  I only hope that one day I can give someone the help that people have given me.

Thank you NAS Community!

  • Voltaic, pleased to hear that you have got your diagnosis - from the posts on this community, it's obvious that for many people it's a release once they find out, and everything suddenly makes sense, and especially after a long period of waiting.

It's good that it's given you strength too - and with your diagnosis, a new way of looking at things. Good luck!
