Asd- toileting currently under assessment

Hello my son is 5 and currently under assessment by cahms for asd, I'm having an issue with him were he thinks its appropriate to urinate on the floor at home & school could this be ASD related or attachment and ive been told he could have attachment disorder any tips on stopping this behavior he says he does it when he's not happy

  • Sounds like you might need to work with a proffesional on this.  I'm a pet behaviorist, and if you came to me with a cat peeing on the floor it would usually mean a 2 hour consultation, because there are lots of factors, and it can be complex! Since you are working with a little boy, I'm not an expert. You could maybe start by asking him about what makes him feel unhappy?  And what makes him feel better when he's unhappy? 'Unhappy' could mean a lot of things, including ill or separation anxiety I guess. Some people with dyspraxia have weak bladders.
