3 year old son being assesed for autism

hi everyone, our 4th born son Theo os currently being assesed for autism. its been over a year now since the assesments have started and all the reports go to the asd panel on the 11th of july al lthe education proffestionals involved say they would be very suprised if he doesnt get the diagnosis and also the pedriatrition said exactly the same.  he is not talking yet just the odd word and he speaks out of context and alot of nattering, screaming yelling to himself.

he does line up things but not excessivley but he does like his tablet to the extent when it causes a meltdown if its taen away.

lots of headbanging and biting himself and lots of spinning and rocking and hadflapping. he is very sensory seeking looking out of the corner of his eyes too. is anyone else going through the same thing?? and does your little on have symptoms like theo. i know all autistic children are all different just thought id ask xx

  • Hi my grandson is 3years old and going through the assessments, we have been told that he has a lot of autism traits. Hand flapping, spinning, loud screeches, over excitment, and meltdowns if his routine is changed. He does not mix with other children, and will attack anyone who comes into his 'bubble' he is still in nappies and is non verbal. He also hates loud noises and covers his ears, he will not let anyone touch his ears either.

    It is the sudden attacking of other children, and the constant apologies with explanations to his behaviour that is getting my daughter down, she worries for his future, he is a big strong boy, we worry this will carry on to his teens, will he evr talk? the questions are endless.
